Nappies/Diapers…

this is what you will need
Wickelset
1. disana tie-on, knit nappy/diaper
This is the actual nappy/diaper. Made of pure cotton, it absorbs most of the fluid and retains it inside its fibers.

2. disana flannel liner
Also made of cotton, it absorbs the remaining moisture and keeps the baby dry for a long period of time.

3. disana paper liner
Used on top of the cotton liner, this will retain the heaviest soiling.

4. disanaknit, wool nappy/diaper cover
This provides the watertight outer covering for the diaper. Made from soft, pure sheep's wool, it absorbs without itself ever becoming wet.

Directions for use

Wickeln1

The disana nappy/diaper is very easy to use. Spread out the tie-on, knit nappy/diaper on the changing mat. Slightly, fold down the rear flap. Now place the flannel liner in the center of the nappy/diaper.

If your baby is very small, you can adjust the length of the nappy/diaper by folding back the rear edge..

Wickeln3

Lay the baby on the nappy/diaper. First, pull up and place the liner between the legs and fold the edges towards the middle.
Then, pull up the lower flap of the nappy/diaper between the legs and over the waist. Here too, by folding the flap, you can adjust the size of the nappy/diaper. Lastly, cross the ties of the knit nappy/diaper across the baby's back, and bring them round to the front and tie in a bow..

Wickeln4

The fine knitting gives the nappy/diaper a comfortable elasticity so that if fits snugly. The baby is not restricted, but wrapped gently enough with plenty of room to move.

Wickeln5

The disana knit, wool nappy/diaper cover is then pulled over the tie-one diaper. While watertight, the cover allows the air to pass. The soft ribbing around the waist and legs hold the nappy/diaper cover securely and gently in place. Due to the temperature balancing qualities of wool, the baby is kept warm without getting too hot.

nappies/daipers

How many nappies/diapers does a little one need?

disana Windelsysthem
20 - 30 disanatie-on, knit nappies/diapers or a combination of knit nappies/diapers and nappy/diaper covers.

The equal number of disana liners - flannel, gauze nappies/diapers or body-shaped liners - or a combination of these.

1 - 2 rolls disana paper liners.

6 disana raw silk liners, which should always be used in case of soreness or diaper rash.

3 pair of disana nappy/diaper covers in the required size.

When considering the cost of the Startset, it is important to compare the initial cost to the long term benefits of such a nappy/diapering system. A baby is changed about 4000 times - that means 4000 disposable nappies/diapers. disana products, by contrast, last a baby's entire lifetime or longer, making them financially advantageous. Naturally, it must be taken into consideration that our nappies/diapers must be washed, thus requiring the use of electricity, water and detergent. Remember though, that disposable nappies/diapers use energy as well and in addition, use up non-renewable raw material. Plus, the piles of waist continue to mount.
